Kuwait International Airport

After the liberation of Kuwait in 1991, Ayala designed and constructed a new interior for the VIP facility at Kuwait International Airport which was destroyed during the invasion. Ayala designed and built the VIP facilities interior to meet the Kuwaiti government’s exacting protocol requirements. More impressively, the building’s interiors were designed, drawings produced, and design elements fabricated and installed within four months. This fast track project was an important part of the nation’s preparations for hosting the Gulf Cooperation Council meeting that year. In 2010, a new state of the art VIP terminal, designed by leading international architects, was built to replace the aging facility. Again, Ayala was asked to participate, this time providing stunning mahogany custom joinery for the new project. The fine woodworking was produced in Ayala’s Dubai factory.
